Jon tries to act like doesn't give a fuck in s1, but he cares and feels so deeply. He tries to hide under the guise of professionalism, to pretend he isn't influenced by the statements or afraid or doubting himself. But he does care and it influences everything he does. It's the reason he is such a good Archive, fear he, too, feels deeply.
